Jay Ward has worked very hard at not having a real job. When Jay was young, his mom told him he should be a doctor or a lawyer. But Jay couldn't stand the sight of blood or courtrooms. So, Jay decided he would be a magician. His mother begged him to rethink it all. "You need a real job" she would say. But Jay persisted. So finally she simply asked, well at least have something to fall back on. This was logical to Jay, so he thought and thought what would be a good "second choice" career? Finally, it was clear! Balloon Animals!
Jay has dedicated his life to having fun, and now he is the Balloon Man, the greatest balloon twister that he knows!

Jay
graduated from Brenau University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in
Theatre. While a part of GTA (Gainesville Theatre Alliance), he had the
pleasure of working with some of the best and busiest professional
actors, directors, lighting designers, and set designers in Atlanta and
beyond. Jay played such characters as Nicely Nicely in Guys & Dolls, Prince Carpenter in Foxfire, Bill Sykes in Oliver!, and Tim in Noises Off! Though
focused on performance, Jay learned every aspect of theatrical
production. After creating a super illusion show for his senior thesis,
Jay realized where his talents belonged. After graduating college, Jay
picked up the video Balloon Sculpture Made Easy. He then took
his limited balloon knowledge along with a clown outfit to Pendergrass
Flea Market in an attempt to make an income. He immediately became the
most popular vendor at the Market, twisting balloons like a madman. As
a result, Jay became a master balloon artist. Though he doesn't make it
back to Pendergrass very often, he treasures his time there.
