Jay Ward has worked very hard at not having a real job. When Jay was young, his mom told him he should be a doctor or a lawyer. But Jay couldn't stand the sight of blood or courtrooms. So, Jay decided he would be a magician. His mother begged him to rethink it all. "You need a real job" she would say. But Jay persisted. So finally she simply asked, well at least have something to fall back on. This was logical to Jay, so he thought and thought what would be a good "second choice" career? Finally, it was clear!
